ABOUT
Before there were passports, visas, and emigration applications, there were people who lived between worlds—between boundaries, in the no-man’s land that crosses borders. Nomad: Tales of the Travelling People invites you to explore the timeless stories of those who have always roamed freely, existing outside the confines of borders and nations. This immersive event will take you on a journey through the ancient and enduring traditions of nomadic tribes from around the world.
Presented by an exceptional lineup of artists—musician Hayley Jade, Vinyl DJ Candice Horn, and storyteller Tanika Paschke-Moloi—this evening will transport you across continents and through time. From the mystic Tuareg of the Sahara to the passionate Gypsies of Eastern Europe, from the ancient rhythms of the Arabic peoples to the heart of the Romanian nomads, you’ll experience the power of music and storytelling that binds these wandering cultures together.
- Hayley Jade brings these ancient wanderers to life through soulful melodies, blending accoustic soundscapes with melodic vocals that evoke the nomadic spirit.
- Candice Horn, our Vinyl DJ, will spin the music of the travelling people, guiding you through a soundscape that bridges the past and present, grounding you in the rhythm of the journey.
- Tanika Paschke-Moloi will share the tales and legends passed down through generations, weaving stories of resilience, magic, and survival that have shaped the identity of these travelling peoples.
This event is more than a performance—it’s a celebration of a way of life that defies borders and boundaries, reminding us of the eternal connection between music, stories, and the human spirit.
