About the Cape Town Jazz Train (CTJT)
The Cape Town Jazz Train (CTJT) is an exciting cultural collaboration presented by Jazz in the Native Yards, co-led by Koko Nkalashe and Nono Nkoane. In partnership with the Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS), PRASA, and Heineken, CTJT reimagines public transport as a stage for art, culture, and music. It’s a one-of-a-kind initiative that brings together communities, jazz lovers, and adventure seekers to celebrate Cape Town’s rich jazz heritage while supporting the revitalization of rail travel.
