"Earth & Ether" is an immersive live performance that weaves together ambient electronic soundscapes, evocative poetry, and textured acoustic music. Centred around the themes of Earth and Spirit, join us as we explore timeless experiences that are embedded in the human experience - belonging, loss, death and rebirth.

Callum Kuhl:

Callum Kuhl is a SAFTA award-winning composer and sound designer whose work spans orchestral performances, films, video games, and series. A graduate of the Film Scoring Academy of Europe, he also collaborates with industry giants such as Kyle Shephard and Polyforge Media. For Earth & Ether, Callum brings expansive, atmospheric soundscapes using orchestral samples and electronic textures. His contribution forms the foundation of the evening's performance, bringing cinematic depth and amplifying the reflective and transformative themes.


David Arnot:

David Arnot is a multi-instrumentalist whose musical journey has taken him from studying jazz at WITS to learning tabla in India, constantly exploring the intersections between different musical traditions and approaches. His deep fascination with sonic experimentation and musical balance informs his unique style, where he seamlessly weaves together psychedelic textures, jazz sensibilities, and meditative rhythms. For Earth & Ether, David brings guitar, percussion and clarinet into conversation, crafting soundscapes that dance between ambience and intensity, minimalism and complexity.


Page Dina:

Page Dina is a seasoned spoken word poet based between Johannesburg and Cape Town who has shared stages with many notable local musicians and bands, including Tubatsi Moloi and Tefo Mahola. Their authentic voice has resonated through multiple productions in local theatres, and she recently captivated audiences on stage at TEDx Johannesburg in 2024. Page's spoken word forms the narrative core of Earth & Ether, weaving themes of spirit, resilience, and nature into a contemplative thread that will guide the audience through the evening. Her voice and words bring intimacy and honesty to the performance, grounding the ethereal soundscapes in human emotion and shared truths.
