Soul Soundz is an electrifying Cape Town-based collective, blending the soulful

warmth of R&B and blues with the rhythmic energy of Afro beats, Afro soul, and jazz.

Known for their genre-defying sound, the band brings together an eclectic mix of cultural

influences, creating a rich musical experience that is both nostalgic and fresh. Drawing

inspiration from legends like Miriam Makeba, Nina Simone, Dave Kors, and Robert Glasper,

Soul Soundz merges traditional African rhythms with contemporary global sounds, resulting

in an unmistakable fusion that speaks to the soul.

Formed in 2023, the band’s chemistry is undeniable—each member brings their own unique

musical background and creativity to the table. Members also brings their own distinct style and

influences, making Soul Soundz a truly versatile and compelling act.. Siya Klassen’s keyboard and

soulful vocals, while Esihle Valela’s saxophone weaves deep, emotive layers throughout the

music. Tiana Amari provides the grounding groove with her masterful bass lines, and

Nicholas Dlakavu’s drumming and harmonies complete the foundation for the band's

dynamic sound.
