TC FEST 2025 : Film Night by VideoClub

VIDEOCLUB is a cultural event that promotes the dissemination and exchange between video makers, emerging artists, and musicians through the exhibition of DIY experimental videos. From music videos and animations to video performances and short documentaries, the event showcases works created independently, without the involvement of brands or major production companies. Our mission is to provide a platform for underground art, spanning a wide range of genres and styles.?

VIDEOCLUB was born in Valparaíso in 2021, organized by friends for friends, to showcase our creations just for fun and the sheer joy of sharing and exhibiting our work. Frustrated with the lack of platforms available to exhibit non-academic, queer experimental videos, we decided to create one ourselves.

By now, has taken shape in different cities, including Santiago, Valparaíso, Concepción, and Temuco in Chile, La Plata in Argentina, Buenos Aires in Argentina, CDMX in Mexico, Barcelona in Spain, Berlin in Germany, NYC in the USA, Nijmegen in the Netherlands, Istanbul in Turkey, and Bogotá in Colombia.

So far, VIDEOCLUB has screened more than 250 videos from 23 different countries in 10 cities worldwide. The focus started on South American productions and has evolved to include videos from all corners of the globe, while maintaining an anticolonial perspective. VIDEOCLUB's main objective is to cultivate a welcoming atmosphere, promoting support and sharing without competition. We believe in the power of experimentation and collaboration. Our event aims to inspire and foster artistic growth within our community.

At VIDEOCLUB, we take care of everything: researching, curating, promoting, finding venues, creating artwork, and inviting artists to participate. All our efforts have been entirely self-managed and collaborative, driven by our passion for showcasing underground works. We operate without external funding or support, relying solely on our collective dedication. 

We are deeply interested in fostering connections between the global North and South, creating a dialogue that bridges our diverse imaginations and poetics.
