TC Fest 2025 : Reza Khota Project and The Super Catz

Reza Khota Project

This is an incarnation of a trio that brings the young and prodigious talents of bassist Joshua Nemaire and Tefo Mahola together to bring fresh interpretations to the compositions of Reza Khota and embark on free improvisations in and around composed material. As always the musical result is unpredictable and only realize itself in the process and moment of musicking.

Super Catz

This is a brain child of The Commons and the whole idea is to bring together a collective made up of jazz catz who have greatly shaped and influenced jazz music within the country. The concept also allows for a birthing of new sound and relationship amongst these catz, as most of them have never been paired in a project, band or collective such as this. This years lineup is stellar and we are so delighted for them to hold space and share their new sounds.
