Oceanico

Oceanico is a Brazilian/South-African band led by Paulo Costa, a Brazilian singer, composer and musician who began his music journey at the age of 7 and now, at 33, has evolved into a global multi-talent with active projects in three countries. The group emerged in Cape Town in October 2020, celebrating cultural diversity through the production of their debut album, "Aquariou", which united 14 musicians from Brazil and South Africa. Since their official debut, the band has enchanted South African audiences with their original compositions and soulful interpretations of Brazilian music, earning a dedicated following while performing and touring across the country. Beyond a band or a music project, Oceanico is a cultural bridge, inviting audiences to join them on a transcendent journey where the rhythms and melodies from two continents intertwine. Their repertoire includes interpretations of Gilberto Gil, João Bosco, Djavan and other legends of the Brazilian music realm amongst their own compositions mixing Bossa Nova, Samba, Jazz and progressive themes, all performed in a unique way by some of the best musicians in the country.
