MBUSO KHOZA PODCAST LAUNCH & SCREENING

The Mbuso Khoza Institute for Culture, in partnership with the Aloe Lifestyle Hotel presents the Launch of the Mbuso Khoza Podcast and Screening of the first episode! 

We are excited to launch the Mbuso Khoza Podcast and Screening, on the 20th July 2024, to be hosted Eshowe, in Northern KwaZulu Natal. 

The event will take place at Aloe Lifestyle Hotel.

A double joyous occasion celebrating his birthday and equally a homecoming, the screening of the first Episode promises to excite and equally to honour this incredible milestone in Mbuso’s career. 

ABOUT THE PODCAST

The Mbuso Khoza Podcast is a distillation of thoughts, addressing fundamental topics around the interphase of culture, tradition, customs, holistic being, spirituality, plus evolution and innovation of the african individual, community and nations, fit for the twenty first century and beyond. Mbuso and his esteemed guests, take viewers on a journey across time. The aim is to help the young generation to make sense of the human condition - life, learning, emotions, cultural codes of morality, love, conflict and death - navigating the present as they learn from history in order to forecast a dynamic future. To hear award winning musician and avid storyteller Mbuso Khoza speak, sing and analyse South Africa’s socio-cultural reality, is an epic experience. Encountering his vast mind and knowledge, transcending cultural boundaries but rooted in humanity, coupled with his melodic reenactments of history, promises a time for true reflection. 

The Mbuso Khoza Podcast is truly cultural wealth for Africans for our time and beyond.

LINEUP 

The event will see a screening of the first episode, titled "Cosmic Consciousness And Music: The curious case of African Rhythm" with first guest, Dr Nduduzo Makhathini offering insight.

The screening will be followed by a Question and Answer session.

Lastly, will ben an electrifying performance by Mbuso Khoza, performing some of his music from his latest Album, Ifa Lomkhono, which was nominated for the 2024 Metro Awards.

Also on stage will be the incredible amahubo ambassadors IJadu Le Afrika ensemble, storyteller, poet and folk musician Nomangungu and Nguni neo-soul musician Anella Ngwenya.

Tickets are available on IJadu Le Afrika's Quicket Page at R200 per ticket. Tickets will also be available at the door. The ticket comes with a welcome drink and a finger lunch.
