Startup Club ZA is excited to announce our first Cape Town Connect event of 2024.

Startup Club ZA is South Africa's fastest-growing tech startup and investor community, on a mission to foster connection and create opportunity for the country's leading startup founders, funds, operators and ecosystem enablers. Our upcoming event on Wednesday, 13 March will feature prominent guest Shola Akinlade (CEO & Co-Founder, Paystack) for a night of invaluable connection, insights and opportunity.

OUR GUEST:

• Shola Akinlade one of Africa’s most respected tech founders and the CEO of renowned payments company, Paystack. Having co-founded the business in 2015, Paystack became the first Nigerian company backed by Y-Combinator and within 4 years, grew to serve over 60,000 customers, processing over 50% of all online payments in Nigeria. In 2020, Paystack concluded an outright sale to global payments giant, Stripe, for $200m - making it one of the most meaningful exits in the African ecosystem ever! We're honoured to sit down with Shola and dive into his journey of building the business.

NEED-TO-KNOW:

• Tickets are mandatory for admission and your ticket does not include a plus-one. We regret no walk-ins.

• Attendance is capped. Once we have reached capacity, please email us at [email protected] and we will revert should space become available.

• Entrance closes at 18:30pm SHARP. We reserve the right to admit late comers, out of courtesy for our attendees.

• Light catering and drinks will be provided on the night.

• Limited Street Parking is available, with additional paid parking available nearby (2min walk) at Harrington Square (Charly's Bakery). We recommend using ride-sharing if/where possible.

• Tickets are not refundable, but transferrable up to 48 hours before the event (5pm, 11 March). To transfer your ticket, please notify us by email and include the name/surname/email address of your replacement.

• IMPORTANT - on account of popularity and in order to grow a good attendance culture, "no shows" without prior notice will be excluded from future events.
