About

Startup Club ZA is the home for South African tech startups building the future.

We bring together founders, investors, operators and partners to build meaningful companies - and a stronger startup ecosystem - together.

Founded in 2023, Startup Club ZA has grown into South Africa’s largest independent tech founder and investor network, hosting 30+ events nationally, welcoming over 10,000 in-person attendees, and supporting hundreds of technology ventures through our ecosystem.

Our work is built around three pillars:

Community

Founder-first gatherings, national initiatives and flagship events that create meaningful connection and shared progress.

Platform

Platform ZA - our national discovery, jobs and media platform - increasing visibility, access and opportunity for startups and talent.

Capital

A founder-aligned, permanent-capital investment vehicle designed to back high-quality teams with long-term stewardship.

We believe strong ecosystems are built through trust, relationships and consistent action - not gatekeeping or hype.

If you're building, backing or enabling ambitious technology companies in South Africa, you're welcome here.
