Ain't Misbehavin' at AfrikaBurn 2024

We are… Ain’t Misbehavin’… a swing dance camp in its third year at AfrikaBurn – and we are just short of our goals for this year!

So here’s what’s going on … our camp is ready to go, but we are attempting to become more Leave No Trace and to lower our carbon emissions … so to do these two things, we need to raise money for:

1. sustainable energy supply

a solar-powered set-up with solar panels, batteries and an inverter to power our sound and lights (instead of hiring an air- and noise-polluting generator)

estimated cost: R25-R35k

2. reusable dance surface

a sturdier dance floor so that it can be reused year after year instead of buying new wood for our platform every year.

estimated cost: R20-R30k
