The Songmakers' Guild presents: The Prayer - Cape Town

Two of The Songmakers’ Guild committee members, soprano Magdalene Minnaar and pianist Esthea Kruger, will present a meditative program of prayers from the greater art song repertoire. This extraordinary collection will include Ravel’s Kaddisch and Schubert’s Ave Maria, and also feature works by Bach, Fauré, Messiaen and Britten, amongst others. In the troubling times we are facing in the world, this concert offers a refuge for the soul through the universal language of music.
