RT276 DARLING SPCA FUNDRAISER

Yzerfontein 276 Round Table visited Darling SPCA on the 22nd of July to provide treats, canned food, and toys for the dogs and cats in their care while they look for new homes.

As we worked on repairing the kennel roofs to keep the animals dry and warm in rainy weather, we noticed that Darling SPCA was in desperate need of a complete revamp.

We created a list of high-priority items that will immediately improve the lives of these animals.

1. Kennel Roofs - Unfortunately, patching the kennel roofs for rainy days will not suffice; some must be replaced due to irreparable damage from the elements.
2. Kennel floors - the floors started to crack, causing the chemicals used to clean the floors to lie in the cracks, which in turn is a health and safety hazard for the animals.
3. Camp - the camps are there for the dogs to spread their legs and run around like every dog should be able to do. Unfortunately, the fencing around the camp has been damaged and the dogs easily find a way out of the camp back into the streets.

We have a plan, and that plan is to raise R20,000.00 to tackle the above-mentioned issues, here is how you can help us:

1. Sponsor any amount that will contribute to reaching our target amount and/or
2. Sponsoring a kennel for R3500.00 - this amount is for a total revamp of a single kennel of your choice, which includes a plaque with your name and surname, or business name mounted on the front wall of the kennel.

Your contributions will help us achieve our goal and make a difference, not only in the lives of these sheltered animals but also in the lives of the people working so incredibly hard at Darling SPCA who must deal with the hardships of these sometimes-abused animals on a daily basis.
