ABOUT
Die Universiteit Stellenbosch Botaniese Tuin (USBT) - die oudste akademiese botaniese tuin in Suid-Afrika - vier vanjaar sy eeufees met ’n weeklange program tydens die Toyota US Woordfees.

Spesialisonderwerpe wat wissel van medisinale plante tot ons unieke Kaapse flora tot tuinmaak met inheemse plante word daagliks gedek. Onder die sprekers tel prof. Nox Makunga, prof. Leanne Dreyer en ander.

• Die landskapkunstenaar Strijdom van der Merwe skep ’n bewaringsinstallasie.
• Tuinkuns – keramiekkuns, beeldhouwerke en plantkuns is regdeur die tuin te sien.
• Botaniese kuns – ’n keur van oorspronklike werke deur Suid-Afrika se top- botaniese kunstenaars kan besigtig word, met afdrukke wat te koop is.
• Skaars plante, geskenke, huisware en dekor met ’n botaniese tema is te koop, asook reproduksies van historiese plantillustrasies wat nie voorheen vrygestel is nie.
• Etensuur-musiekopvoerings
• Wyn- en jenewerproe
• Middagetes, kosstalletjies, piekniekmandjies en drinkgoed sal op die perseel beskikbaar wees

The Stellenbosch University Botanical Garden (SUBG) is celebrating its centenary year and as part of the celebrations, there will be a week long programme of events; from daily yoga sessions, tours, arts and plant workshops to a special botanical art festival, rare plant fair and music in the garden.
