Cariema Isaacs, skrywer van Modern Cape Malay Cooking wat deesdae in Doebai woon, het só leer kosmaak, nes die Bo-Kaap se Taste Malay-kok, Fayruza Abrahams. Dié twee gesels kopstukke oor Kaap-Maleise kosse, Groot Dae, tradisies en speserye. Saam met hulle is Aunty Mardia Hendricks, spysenier en Lotus rivier se bakkoningin, en Shihaam Domingo, wat die vrawerk doen en self ’n gedugte kok is. Boonop kan gaste self proe waaroor dié kokke praat!


Cariema Isaacs, author of Modern Cape Malay Cooking, lives in Dubai these days but learned to cook the Cape Malay way as did the Bo-Kaap’s Fayruza Abrahams from Taste Malay. These two discuss Cape Malay cooking, Special Days, traditions and spices. They are joined by Aunty Mardia Hendricks, caterer and Lotus River’s baking queen, and Shihaam Domingo, also a formidable cook. Guests will get to sample some of the delights that these cooks refer to.
