Basically Broadway - Vocal Unity Fundraiser Concert
Sat May 20, 19:30 - Sat May 20, 21:30
The Masque Theatre
ABOUT
Join us for an evening of Broadway hits sung by an exceptional local choir - Vocal Unity.
BASICALLY BROADWAY is a fundraiser for the Masque Theatre as we work towards installing solar panels and battery backups. The show must go on! The show will always go on! We just want to be able to shed some light on the stage even when load shedding hits.
A little more about who will be entertaining you:
Vocal Unity is a small ensemble of people who just love singing. The group is made up of singers with varying styles and it features several names that are becoming well-known at the Masque. We all met Claire Thomson, Shaun Klaasen, Matthew Esbach and Tania Lotter during Sleeping Beauty, and then Lynley Meavers at the Valentine Soiree. Jeremy Quickfall (A Handful of Keys) is the choir leader - arranging many of the choir's pieces himself, ensuring that Vocal Unity will always give you something completely new and unique.
Songs for the evening will include:
One Day More (Les Miserables)
Sunday (Sunday in the Park With George)
Rhythm of Life (Sweet Charity)
Climb Every Mountain (The Sound of Music)
From Now On (The Greatest Showman)
You Will Be Found (Dear Evan Hansen)
As If We Never Said Goodbye (Sunset Boulevard)
We’ll also be having a raffle with some exciting prizes - so bring your cash!
All proceeds for this event will be going to the Masque Theatre’s solar energy fund.
