Join us for the launch of Many Moons at the Commons on the same day that the music is released into the world on all digital platforms! - 18 May - 

Many Moons is Gabriel Espi’s full length debut album, a kaleidoscopic blend of instrumental textures, genres, feelings and rhythms. The album was a hugely collaborative project, with thirteen musicians involved, and a recording process that harnessed the live feeling from shows (no click, simultaneous tracking). 

The line-up for the launch will bring the album’s arrangements to life, with a horn section consisting of Keegan Steenkamp and Matthew Rightford (trumpet and sax), flashes of flute from Mulalo Mphaphuli, and guest vocal appearances from wonderful singers Mishka Reddy and Nduduzo Mkhize. 

This will all be underscored by an amazing rhythm section consisting of Keno Carelse on drums, Tiana Amari on bass and Gabriel Espi on guitar.
