ABOUT
A Death Cafe is a non-profit gathering where people openly talk about death in a safe and respectful space, with no agenda or intention to lead people to any particular conclusion or action. Participants are provided with drinks and a snack. It aims to increase awareness of death and help individuals make the most of their lives.
You are welcomed by Gillian Goodman (cafe owner) and Brett Simpson (cancer specific coach) to join this unusual but important conversation. This conversation is all about speaking into your experience (rather than intellectual belief) and relationship with death and endings. The process and experience is surprisingly life affirming and although everyone will have their own experience, it usually leaves you with a sense of community, humanity and calm catharsis.
We both look forward to hold a safe space to speak into a topic which we typically avoid, but one which can provide us with relief, unexpected connection and life affirmation.
