Slow Life presents operatic phenomenon Reuben Mbonambi Live - This Saturday November 26th

Reuben Mbonambi, South Aftican bass, does a recital/ interview at Olympia bakery. Fresh from the premier Belvedere Singing Competition where he gained 3rd position.

He will be interviewed by well known Amanda Botha, and accompanied on the piano by his mentor and voice trainer Juan Burgers.

The interview brings us a personal more intimate view of the South African singer’s journey into the world of opera on the world stage.

Not only up close and personal, but highlights the journey through the chosen repertoire of his particular voice type.

The programme spans the Baroque, Classical operatic genres, followed by German lieder by Schubert, Schumann, Brahms and Richard Strauss.

His rich voice then makes a detailed turn into the dramatic bass repertoire of Giuseppe Verdi. He leaves for Austria soon to continue his career abroad.
