Hassan'adas Afro Latin at Nouvelles Vibes

Hassan'adas brings Afro Latin into Nouvelles Vbes, John Hassan as a leader, on percussion, vocals & acoustic guitar. The musical focus of this project is to blend African rhythms & sounds that people can listen & dance too. This project was born from playing & recording with different musicians from across the globe. Musicians that John Hassan has played over the years with the late Miriam Makeba & Brenda Fassie, Stimela, Hugh Masekela, Manu Dibango, Papa Wemba, Chucho Valdez, Sumply Red, Toti, Regina Carter, Carl Anderson, Sibongile Khumalo, Jimmy Dudlu to name a few.

The rest of the band is made up of musicians that have played & recorded with prominent musicians: Kissangwa Junior Mbouta and astonishing new talent from Congo on drums & vocals has played with artists like Afro Fiesta, Claire Phillips, Mel Van der Spuy, Jimmy Omanga & Kool Matope. He also composed, produced & arranged the hit song “Matinda” which was number 4 on the hit charts on heart 104.9 FM. On guitar & backing vocals: Nathan Carolus. Lucas Khumalo on Bass & backing g Vocals has played with artisits such as Freshly ground, Kusasa, Jimmy Dudlu, Judith Sephuma, Nash Reed, Judy Boucher, Loading Zone, Raga Afrika and many others.
