ABOUT
Join Georgina Lackinger and Murray Macgregor for an educational session focusing upon urban wildlife. Murray and Georgina are both volunteers for Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre on the Westrand and play a vital role in caring for injured and sick all kinds of wildlife in the Westrand area.
- For the adults, Murray Macgregor will be giving a presentation on the main threats to wildlife as a result of urbanisation, destruction of habitats, creation of manmade habitats and how man based activities impact our wildlife.
- For the younger ones, Georgina Lackinger will presenting a fun and educational session on owls and other urban wildlife.
Please remember to book your place for this event. This event is suitable for all ages. Both session will take place at the same time. Each session being at 10am and ends at 10:45am.
This event begins from the Ecological Centre in Kloofendal Nature Reserve. Please aim to be at the reserve 15 minutes before the event start time. This event will go ahead regardless of the weather.
