ABOUT
IT'S LIGHTS OUT, AND AWAY WE GO!
We’re off to the Zandvoort for round 15 of the 2022 Formula 1 World Championship.
After putting in a championship-winning performance, starting in P14 and finishing at the top of the podium, the question on everyone's mind (sorry Ferrari) is at which track does Super Max retain his title? The Red Bulls are simply in a class of their own. And while Ferrari looks more likely to finish in 2nd this year, their amazement at just how far behind they were was evident in Leclerc's post-race interview. An old rivalry was reignited with Hamilton nearly taking out Alsonso heading up the Kemmel Straight, resulting in the famous Fernando finger wag post-race. McLaren had their first point-less race of the season, and with the news that Ricciardo's contract is terminated for the 2023 season, karma kicked in at the wrong time. Gasly's 100th Grand Prix had him pushed off the grid but finish in 9th with the team's first points since Baku, with rumours doing the rounds of the open seat at Alpine belonging to him for 2023.
We are looking forward to this weekend's action, with a trial of a new DRS zone in the final revamped corner, all happening on the 7m wide LED Video-Wall screen.
