ABOUT
Located in the heart of the Cape Floristic Kingdom, Darling and its surrounding areas are home an astounding variety of unique wildflowers that occur nowhere else in the world! During the third weekend in September the Darling Wildflower Show shares the botanical beauty of the region in the form of a landscaped wildflower exhibition comprising of renosterveld, vleiland (wetland), sandveld and strandveld plants.
The 2023 Darling Wildflower Show offers visitors an opportunity to see some of the unique wildflowers up close, many endemic and restricted to the area. There will be a specimen table where you can learn botanical and common names for example Bobbejaantjie, Kelkiewyn and Snotrosie.
Your ticket also gives you access to the Darling Museum and marketplace where you can enjoy a freshly baked scone at the Darling Wildflower Society Tea Garden or grab a snack from one of the food vendors while listening to local music and shopping for local produce and indigenous plants. As an added bonus you will also be contributing towards the conservation of Darlings wildflowers.
