About

Darling Wildflower Society

Conservation - Restoration - Education

Rooted in community the Darling Wildflower Society has been celebrating the spectacular botanical heritage of the West Coast and Swartland for over a century.

A passionate group of volunteers dedicated to protecting and showcasing the botanical wealth of the region, particularly the threatened habitats of Renosterveld, Sand Fynbos, Strandveld and seasonal Renosterveld wetlands.

Through our annual Wildflower Show and community-driven initiatives, we aim to raise awareness, support restoration efforts, and inspire a love for our local flora.

By bringing together landowners, conservationists, schools, and nature lovers the Society plays an important role in preserving biodiversity and educating future generations.

"Loved the static flower displays, as well as the section naming each of the different plants. My wife loved the prices at the nursery, and we both loved the food trucks available."
