ABOUT TRACY KLASS
Tracy Klass has been performing stand up comedy since her arrival in Cape Town in 1999. She is known for her ‘growing up disgracefully’ stance on life and being dragged towards middle age – kicking and screaming, rather than floating gracefully on a cloud of Clarins and botox. Tracy Klass also gives a unique take on those issues women hold very dear like children, weight, aging and food.
Tracy Klass has co-starred in two full length shows with fellow comedienne Mel Jones – “Doing it for the Money” and the sequel at Grand West’s Roxy Revue Bar, “Still Doing It”. As one of the few female stand up comedians in South Africa, Tracy Klass takes an irreverent look at what women find funny – themselves.
ABOUT BRENDAN MURRAYBrendan Murray is an actor, writer, stand up and voice artist. He’s sold you things you didn’t need, hosted rock festivals, played in several Shakespeare dramas, has called the shots at Renegade Bingo and has been the ringmaster of many a burlesque circus. He’s also quite large. And loud. And burns bad poetry.
ABOUT KG
Kagiso or KG as he is affectionately known is the quintessential comedy heavyweight. Influenced by old-school comedy greats, KG will have you laughing from deep within your belly. The son of a Sangoma and western medicine nurse, takes his audiences on a unique comedy journey with a glimpse into the “behind the scenes” practices of a Sangoma and what it’s like having one that you call “dad”, a nurse for a mom and why he was never able to take a day off sick from school. In a very short period of time KG has moved from being an open-mic comedian to being a featured act in club, theatre and corporate comedy.
He made his big stage performance at the Joburg Arts Alive Festival in the Comedy Nine-Nine showcase and earning rave reviews from the audience members and organizers alike. Since then he has shared the big stage with the South African comedy elite. The shows include, The Funny Festival 2012, Keeping You In Stitches with Riaad Moosa, The Marc Lottering Roadshow, Blacks Only Comedy Show and many more.
ABOUT MUM-ZMum-z is a 4 time SAFTA Award winning comedian. Mum-z’ involvement with multi award winning TV Comedy series, ZA News, has allowed him to be part of the 2013 SAFTA Award for Best Ensemble in a TV Comedy Series, 2014 Best TV Comedy and 2015 Best TV Comedy. This also won him an Emmy nomination. Having performed for corporate clients like The Presidency of South Africa and The DA and having featured in some of SA’s biggest comedy events including Blacks Only (6 times), Real Heavyweight Comedy Jam (twice), Soweto Comedy Festival, Tulbagh Comedy Festival, Rocking The Daisies, Synergy, Nando’s International Comedy Festival and much more, Mum-z is definitely a bankable act.
