The Birds

A Greek comedy by Aristophanes that created the term, Cloud Cuckooland. The Birds is set in Athens, around 414BCE, but is adapted to suit an audience of 2022, with surprisingly few changes. Taking a swipe at democracy, with tyrannical consequences, this fast paced and witty comedy will tickle the funny bone. Performed by senior Michaelhouse drama students, the birds are played by puppets created by the Lidgetton Theatre Company, a local visual theatre company.
