The sacral chakra is the second chakra and its colour is orange. It is associated with the emotional body, sensuality, and creativity, it is the foundation of our feeling of well-being. The principle of pleasure rules, the shadow of this chakra is indulgence and addictions. Physically, it’s located just below the navel. It is connected to the genital area, bladder, kidneys, lower back and the lymphatic system. The sacral chakra is associated with our feelings and sensations, emotions, relationships, relating, expression of sexuality, sensual pleasure, creativity, desires and fantasies. Opening your sacral chakra allows you to “feel” the world around and inside us. Associated with the water element, it is instrumental in developing flexibility in life. In a balanced state it is characterized by movement and flow in our emotions and relational reciprocity. When it is imbalanced it can manifest as: unhealthy relationships, dependency, co-dependency on people or a substance. Being ruled by your emotions or feeling numb, overindulgence in fantasies and obsessions, or Lack of sexual desire and feeling stuck. Come dance with us and expand your relating, sensuality, pleasure, creativity and flexibility through moving intentionally with this chakra. Where: Namaskar. When: 13 November, 4 to 7 pm.
