Save our Home!
New Life Centre is a registered Non - Profit Organisation (NPO) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) based in Midrand, President Park at house no 2/274 Brand Road. The home has been in operation since 2005 and started as an outreach programme in Hillbrow, Berea, Yeoville, CBD and the surrounding areas with the aim to assist and empower girls and young women who were commercially sexually exploited, victims of human trafficking, victims of Gender Based Violence, orphans, abused women/children as well children at risk of such exploitations. We have made strides in the rehabilitation and restoring a normal life for children who come from previously disadvantaged families, strides in assisting GBV, human trafficking or child sex-worker victims. We can certainly say that we have a good story to tell as some of our girls have gone on to complete their Matric while staying at the home and then proceeded to universities and colleges.
We are currently faced with a challenge of losing our home as the owner has received an offer from someone who wants to buy this particular house and convert it into apartments. The owner has been kind enough to give us an offer to first refusal and first purchase. We have offered to buy the house in faith, but we need your assistance in order for us raise the funds needed to buy this home. This is our home, and we would not like to lose it as it is the perfect rehabilitation and nurturing home for children from GBV situations and victims of Human Trafficking. We need to raise R3,500 000 in order to purchase this home. While raising the R3,5million we have been given an option to pay occupational rent of R12 000 per month till we raise enough funds. If we are unable to pay this rental amount of R12 000 plus R3000 a month in utilities, we will lose the option of first purchaser as well as lose our home.
We are therefore appealing to you to kindly assist us with any monetary donation to contribute to the total amount required to purchase our home and or for rental, electricity and water (municipal rates) while we continue with fundraising efforts.
