About
The (SCF) Safe and Care Foundation is a Community Development Organisation
We are based within the rural areas of South Africa; the Western Cape Province
located region Central Karoo District in a town named Beaufort West.
The Paradise Valley area is a marginalised historically disadvantage community
with poverty, social ills, lack of competency and high rate drop outs and Inmates.
High rate lower income households and pension households are the majority.
We SCF have a complex of programs active in the community as following;
- Soup Kitchen
- Soccer Club (U-15/U-20) Boys
- Aftercare Programme
- Fitness Programme
- Feeding Garden & (Environment Protection: Cleaning + Recycling)
- Arts Development Programme
The objectives of Safe and Care Foundation
- Sustainable Community Food security and access
Decrease malnutrition and morbidity.
- Nation Building, Social Interaction in diverse and Active citizen
- Personal & Capacity Building Development in communities
- Restore Healthy Lifestyle and Awareness’s in communities
- Develop and promote artists and arts products
Transform and enable capacity building Arts Community Development
We currently have approximately 160 + beneficiaries within the program.
51+ Feeding access = Soup Kitchen: 2 days per week
22+ Boys soccer players = Soccer Club: 3 days per week
25+ Boys and Girls= Aftercare Program: 3 days per week
30+ Boys and girls = Arts Dev Program: 3 days per week
15+ Boys and girls = Fitness program: 3 days per week
17+&Community = Food Garden & Environment Protection: 3 days per week
