Known throughout concert halls across the world for the passion he brings to the podium, Bernhard Gueller, principal guest conductor of the CPO, has accompanied many of today’s foremost singers such as international stars Pretty Yende, Elza van den Heever, Jane Archibald and the late Johan Botha. William Berger was a member of the Drakensberg Boys’ Choir before commencing his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London. His career has taken him to most of the major opera houses in Europe. He was heard last year in La Bohème in Cape Town.

Principal guest conductor of the CPO, Bernhard Gueller is also Music Director Laureate of Symphony Nova Scotia. His latest CD with Canadian songstress Sarah Slean is up for two prestigious Canadian awards – the Juno and the East Coast awards. Nina Schumann is one of South Africa’s foremost pianists and noted for her innovative programming. This performance was planned for last August to mark her 50th birthday.
