Music & Stories with Heinrich Frans & Angelo Syster & RJ Benjamin
Singer, producer and songwriter Heinrich Frans will be hosting a live intimate show for discerning music enthusiasts on Tuesday, 15 December, from 5.30 pm to 8pm, at Youngblood Studios on 70-72 Bree Street, Cape Town.
The show, entitled Music and Stories, will feature, Heinrich Frans (voice). He has performed as lead and backing vocalist for international artists such as Jonathan Butler, Kirk Whalum, Oleta Adams, Diana Ross, Bebe Winans, Josh Groban and Mark Fransman’s Strait and Narro.
Heinrich will also be joined by the enormously gifted, Angelo Syster (Electric Guitar), who is the guitarist for Moreira Chonguica, along with dear friend RJ Benjamin (voice), who has been exceptionally busy this past year.
Never one to rest on his laurels, singer, songwriter, producer, vocal coach, music director and performer, RJ Benjamin’s used 2020 well, and in the process, he took stock of his rich archive and compiled 12 classic gems, dusted them all off, and has proudly delivered a spring clean aptly dubbed, The House Features.
Since his vocal coaching and production of the DHL Stormers and Friends recording, in early March 2020, RJ’s been rifling through his past, remembering when he had hair and the joys of producing profound house tracks, many of which have never been made available on streaming platforms.
Expect to hear fantastic stories about the songs they both love, and which have influenced and shaped their musical journey’s, including “Let’s Pretend”, “Wonderwall”, “Change the World”, “Nature Boy”, “Tobacco Road”, “After the Love has Gone”, “Fragile”, “Tears in Heaven”, along with many more.
With a grand piano in the room, a sublime guitar player, and two gifted singers, anything can happen, and it most probably will.
