CHARITY CONCERT w/ Waiting for Smith and Werner Bekker

Who’s behind this evening

This concert came out of friendship, the shared love of music and a wish to give something back to the children of Masiphumelele.

Here are the people who made it happen:

Sophie, the initiator

Sophie is a producer who splits her time between Europe and South Africa, with a big place in her heart for Cape Town. She has been working with the Clever Kids homework centre on different projects for 1.5 years now, and this concert is her idea. She has brought the right people together to turn it into a reality. Waiting for Smith, artist

Harry’s music is about hope, perseverance and the beauty of life, and he was excited about the cause from the very first conversation. His music is all about making people feel joyous, free, light and loved! More information on Instagram: @waitingforsmith

Werner Bekker, artist

Werner has built an inspiring career, and his music carries the same message of hope and not giving up. He was immediately thrilled to join us in supporting Clever Kids.

Lian, the creative mind behind it all

Lian is the creative heart of this evening and shaped how it looks and feels. She is handling all the beauty of the space and the logistics behind.

Guillaume, our generous host

Our dear friend Guillaume has kindly opened his private space for the night, so we can gather in a warm, intimate setting. This evening wouldn’t be possible without him.

Together, we’re raising funds for the Clever Kids Afterschool Homework Centre in Masiphumelele. Every ticket goes straight to a place that offers children a warm meal and a helping hand with their homework. Questions? Reach out to us any time at: [email protected]. We can’t wait to see you there ??
