Jo-Nette LeKay Songbird Voice Studio

Jo-Nette is a South African classical recitalist and opera singer, known for her dramatic coloratura and lyrico-spinto soprano repertoire. Originally from Paarl, she holds a BA and a Performance Licentiate from Stellenbosch Universiity; a PGCE from UCT and a MMus from Rhodes University. She furthered her Bel Canto training in Cape Town, Pretoria, Germany and Spain. Jo-Nette has lectured at Rhodes University, UCT and Stellenbosch University and has performed in the UK, Germany, Switzerland and across South Africa. She has appeared with major ensembles, produced her own concert series, adjudicated numerous eisteddfods and currently teaches and performs as a freelance artist. She has recently been on an international panel for the Lav Mirski International Voice competition in Osijek, Croatia. She creates events, concerts and opera productions to celebrate Art and the Artists who collaborate with her.
