Gordi moved from the UK to South Africa in 2012 after a 30-year career as a Freelance Film & Sound Editor in the UK Film and TV industry, during which time he also led his blues band Buzz Brown & The Stingers, performing at club venues and prestigious blues and jazz festivals throughout Europe

"The blues must be felt to be played," says Gordi. His shows are more than concerts, they’re soulful journeys through the heart of blues, guided by rhythm, emotion, and authenticity. This is clearly evident in all his performances

Gordi also hosts "The Gordi Brown Blues Show" on Knysna 97.0FM and MC Plettenberg Bay 90.3FM radio stations every Sunday from 17h00 to 18h00, where he shares the roots and stories of the blues with listeners across The Garden Route, and worldwide
