Africa Startup Ecosystem Builders Society

The Africa Startup Ecosystem Builders Society, known as ASEB Society, is the permanent continental institution advancing startup ecosystem building as a recognised practice and profession across Africa.

The Society works throughout the year to connect, develop, represent and recognise the people and institutions creating the conditions in which African entrepreneurs, startups and innovators can succeed.

ASEB Society convenes the Africa Startup Ecosystem Builders Summit & Awards, its flagship annual continental gathering and recognition platform. The journey began in Johannesburg in 2022 and continued through Nairobi in 2023, Accra in 2024 and Addis Ababa in 2025. In October 2026, ASEB returns to Johannesburg for its fifth anniversary homecoming.
