MM ARTHOUSE

MMArtHouse, the Muzi Mavuso Art House, is an independent cultural space in Johannesburg dedicated to artistic practice, listening, public conversation and cultural exchange.

Set within the former home of collector and arts patron Muzi Mavuso, the House brings together visual art, music, literature and performance within an intimate domestic setting. Its gallery spaces, courtyard, listening room, vinyl collection, books and artworks provide the setting for a growing programme of live performances, listening sessions, conversations, residencies and literary gatherings.

MMArtHouse is interested in what becomes possible when the boundaries between gallery, home, listening room and performance space begin to disappear.
