About
Vlyt Art Acting is a Pretoria-based theatre studio dedicated to developing actors and bringing South African stories to life. Through dramatised readings, development laboratories, workshops and performances, we explore theatre from page to stage. Our current flagship project is a contemporary adaptation of Charles Boniface's De Nieuwe Ridderorde (1832), widely regarded as South Africa's first play. Inspired by Boniface's original Vlyt en Kunst movement, we believe that through diligence, art blooms.
