A Bit About creates guided heritage walking experiences that explore the history, landscapes and communities of Cape Town's Southern Cape Peninsula.

Our walks bring together history, heritage, landscape and local stories to reveal the character that makes each community unique.

From Hout Bay on the Atlantic coast to Muizenberg on the shores of False Bay, and south to Cape Point, this remarkable coastline is home to a collection of coastal communities, each with its own character, heritage and story.

Every walk has its own theme, revealing a different perspective on the community it explores.

Our experiences are designed to be relaxed, engaging and personal. Through thoughtful heritage interpretation, local insight and engaging storytelling, we invite you to discover not only the history of a place, but also the people, landscapes and events that have shaped its character.

Wherever possible, our routes follow scenic coastal paths, quiet streets and places of historical significance, allowing time to pause, ask questions and appreciate your surroundings rather than simply moving from one landmark to the next.

Each walk is led by a certified South African tourist guide with a passion for the history, heritage and natural environment of the Southern Cape Peninsula.
