We Got Soul started because we wanted the exact same thing you’ve been looking for: a place in Jozi where the music actually means something.

Dean and I built this from the ground up with absolutely no capital, right when I was risking everything on a major career change. We had no budget—just a vision, a lot of hustle, and the belief that Jozi needed a sanctuary away from the fast-paced, commercial club noise.

We wanted a monthly ritual where you could walk in, hear the sounds you actually love and feel like you’re part of a real community. This isn’t just our story; it’s yours every time you step onto the floor.
