Rave4Revolution

We are Rave For Revolution, a mutual aid and solidarity initiative emerging from the dance floor.

Specifically, from the dance floors of Cape Town, one of the most unequal, spatially divided cities in the world. The global crises of rising fascism, austerity and climate change affect this city along existing faultlines of historic injustices.

Rave for Revolution provides a platform for mutual aid. Mutual aid insists on solidarity and capacity building through cooperation and political collaboration, rather than relying on market structures or corporate NGOs for funding. For Rave for Revolution, building relationships with community movements that confront social injustice is our praxis. Bringing together the energies of young people to make art, play music, dance, and create space and channelling it towards community needs is our mandate.
