Ubuntu Mobility Empowerment is a purpose-driven non-profit organisation committed to unlocking access to mobility as a catalyst for economic inclusion and social upliftment across South Africa. We believe that access to a driver’s licence is more than a qualification — it is a gateway to employment, independence, dignity, and opportunity.

Our organisation focuses on supporting youth, women, and persons with disabilities from disadvantaged communities by providing funded learner’s licences, driving lessons, and licensing support. By removing financial and systemic barriers, we enable individuals to access job opportunities in sectors where mobility is essential, including logistics, sales, security, and transport services.

Ubuntu Mobility Empowerment was established as a community initiative aligned with the broader vision of empowerment, skills development, and sustainable impact. Our programmes are designed not only to equip beneficiaries with driving skills, but also to build confidence, improve employability, and create pathways into the formal economy.

Through strategic partnerships with corporates, industry stakeholders, and community organisations, we aim to scale our impact and reach more individuals in need. Our flagship fundraising initiative, the Wheels of Change Winter Gala, is a premier networking and impact-driven event that brings together business leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, and community stakeholders. The gala serves as both a platform for awareness and a catalyst for action, raising funds to directly support our licensing programmes while creating opportunities for connection and collaboration among attendees.

Funds raised through our initiatives go directly toward covering the costs associated with learner’s licences, driving lessons, testing fees, and mentorship support for our beneficiaries. We are committed to transparency, accountability, and measurable impact, ensuring that every contribution translates into real opportunities for those we serve.
