Other Dogs is a community that celebrates electronic music. Founded by a collective of passionate music enthusiasts, we’re united by a shared love for the culture and sound. Our core team brings together an art director, photographer, producer, and DJ — all collaborating under one roof to shape a distinct creative vision.

Umcimbi is our flagship event series. The name, meaning “a celebration of greatness” in Zulu, reflects our purpose: to curate experiences that honor and elevate electronic music. With Umcimbi, we bring nothing but great vibes and deep appreciation for the art form.

To date, we’ve built an engaged community around electronic music and have successfully curated three events in collaboration with Weedloversmarket in Marshaltown. Each show has drawn a strong turnout, driven by our commitment to booking top-tier music curators. The impact has been clear — we consistently receive positive feedback from “the dogs,” our community, who keep coming back for the experience.
