The Edge of Africa Challenge

The Edge of Africa Challenge is a premier 2-day endurance walk experience set along the breathtaking West Coast of South Africa, in Strandfontein.

Hosted by the International Police Association (IPA) Blaauwberg Branch in partnership with Miles for Smiles, this inaugural event challenges participants to complete approximately 60km over two days across some of the country’s most raw and beautiful coastal terrain.

But this is more than just a physical challenge — it’s a purpose-driven journey.

Every step taken contributes to changing lives, as the event raises funds for children born with cleft lips and palates.

Through Miles for Smiles and Operation Smile, every R5,500 raised helps fund life-changing surgery for a child, giving them confidence, dignity, and a brighter future.
