About

The Paarl Wine Route is committed to recognising and nurturing one of South Africa’s oldest wine regions. Built on a strong network of people who care deeply about this place, collaboration between our members allows the region to continue growing, adapting and breaking barriers.

The Paarl Wine Route has grown over a couple of decades, with each bringing its own challenges and shaping the path in different ways. Today, we rest on something simple, and it’s that we are home for a lot of people. Our stories speak of comfort, our food carries familiarity, and our wines keep conversations going into the late hours. At the heart of it all are the farms and the people who have built something real from the ground up.

Every winery along the route is different, but all share a simple goal: to make you feel at home.

"A very well organised event and lovely food. The winemakers had enough time to spend at each table to share information about their winery and the bottles presented. I hope they repeat the event next year, it's a great opportunity to get to know local vineries. A lot of visits already planned!"

"This was a truly amazing evening. If I may give feedback from our group of friends, it would be to limit the winemakers to five per evening. We would have like more time with every winemaker. The food was great! Please do this again!"

"A wonderful evening, tasting some exceptional wines from Paarl's finest wine estates. The menu created by Chef Gary Coetzee from Bistro at Brookdale was truly sublime. A brilliant experience all round. "

"Food was lovely! Too many winemakers and too little time with each! The announcements were too loud and interupted the lovely atmosphere Overall we had a lovely nite out!"
