"The information that was presented is actionable. I enjoyed that examples were given in terms of a school style essay sentence compared to a university arguement paragraph. "

"I learned a great deal! The content was clearly explained and logically set out. Dr. Joynt gave good examples and allowed us to try our hand at writing a paragraph ourselves. This was an engaging approach that worked well. We stayed within our time limit, despite starting a bit late due to technical issues. One proposal I would make is that the speaker improve the look of the slides. I had trouble logging in. It was not clear that one needed to register an hour before the session. I almost missed it! It would have upset me a great deal to miss a session I paid for, due to an issue that was not communicated clearly. I would also have liked to obtain a copy of the slides or at least a recording to refer back to the content, as I would have liked to practice the academic writing style. This was definitely worth the time and money I invested. I feel more confident in expressing my own voice in an academic style."
