For almost a decade, The Cheese Parties were a fixture of Cape Town nightlife.
They were never just themed parties. They were an attitude.
Built on ironic seventies excess, unapologetic bad taste, disco, funk, theme tunes and full scale dress up madness, Cheese became legendary for one simple reason. It let people go.
Cheese Parties celebrate both participation and performance.
Guests are not passive observers. Everyone is encouraged to step forward, dress up, dance badly or brilliantly, play a role, take up space and become part of the spectacle. The dancefloor is shared theatre, social ritual and joyful chaos.
The return of The Cheese Parties is not nostalgia.
It is the continuation of a long running cultural ritual built on humour, excess, pleasure and collective release.
Events are designed to start early, build naturally through sunset and carry guests deep into the night, encouraging long stays, strong social energy and a shared sense of occasion.
There are no VIP areas and no hierarchy.
