FUNKYHOUSESUNDAYS is rooted in the sound we grew up on in Cape Town’s underground — 80s and 90s dancefloors built on groovy basslines, rich melodies, and soulful vocals, shaped by disco, Latin house, and classic house.
We exist to protect and celebrate that culture. Our DJs — veterans and rising selectors — carry the sound forward with intention and respect for the dancefloor.
We partner with venues that offer character and connection, not spectacle — creating spaces where people can settle in, move freely, and be present.
