About
Dump of the Bed is a two-hander theatre production that explores love, memory, violence, and release through the symbolic presence of a single bed. The bed becomes both a sanctuary and a prison — a space where moments of passion, hunger, betrayal, and grief are dumped and remembered.
Nolitha, a strong yet wounded woman, returns to the shared room to collect her belongings. Bonga, her conflicted lover, clings to the past and the memories tied to the bed. As they argue, reminisce, and confront each other, the bed transforms into a witness of their history — love-making, abuse, betrayal, and loss. In the end, Nolitha decides to dump everything, leaving Bonga with only the bed and the weight of truth.
The play is a poetic excavation of intimacy, trauma, and the courage to walk away.
