Animal Lifeline

About

Animal Lifeline is a volunteer run and led animal outreach organisation. We have no staff nor premises nor do we pay salaries. Animal Lifeline operates within under-resourced rural and urban communities in Cape Town and our core focus is primary prevention which entails the education of owners and sterilisation of their pets. Animal Lifeline volunteers collaborate with owners to uplift the circumstances of their sterilised pets; issuing kennels, providing basic preventative care and parasite treatment and supplemental feed until the owner can care for their pets independently. Naturally this is funding-dependent. Our goal is an 80-20 split of resources and capacity between prevention and intervention. We are a registered non-profit company (NPC) and public benefit organisation (PBO), which means we are approved by SARS to issue tax benefit certificates for monetary donations. Member of the Cape Animal Welfare Forum Mandate.
