At Phawu Lethu, one of our most powerful pillars of impact is our mission to end period poverty for schoolgirls. Across our communities, far too many girls miss school simply because they do not have access to sanitary pads. We refuse to let a natural biological process determine a child’s future.

Our commitment goes beyond distribution. We lead menstrual health education and stigma-breaking conversations, helping communities shift the culture around menstruation. By doing so, we create learning environments where girls feel seen, supported, and empowered.

This initiative is rooted in our belief that SANITARY PADS SHOULD BE FREE JUST LIKE CONDOMS and that every girl deserves dignity, equal opportunity, and uninterrupted education. When a girl stays in school, her world expands, and so does the world around her.
